PLA has a wide range of applications in 3D printing – it is the most widely used material due to its ease of printing. It is suitable for beginners. Other properties include easy shaping, hardness, does not deform during printing, does not transmit odours, smells or oxygen. It has low shrinkage. It is hypoallergenic. Disadvantages: brittleness, reactivity to sunlight (easily degraded). Biopolymer PLA: polylactic acid made from dextrose extracted from biological materials, most commonly corn. Feedstock certification according to EN 12342 (compostability in industrial facilities). PLA material is hygroscopic.

Recommendation: Always keep the product in the packaging provided when not printing to prevent unwanted moisture from entering.
